Next week’s readings
Our Sunday readings next week, 11 October: Isaiah 25.1–9 and Matthew 22.1–14.
Foodbank Thank you to everyone who has brought gifts of food – they will be taken to the North Enfield Foodbank. If you are finding it hard to make ends meet, the foodbank can help. Talk to Mthr Anna who can give you vouchers and explain how to get food parcels.
APCM Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting takes place on Sunday 11 October after the 10am service, starting at around 11.15am. Anyone on the electoral roll of the parish is entitled to attend and we hope as many of you as possible will be there.
At the meeting there will be reports on church activities and finances in 2019 and an election for two church wardens, three members of the Deanery Synod and four PCC members. If you would be interested in standing for any of these posts and have not yet told either me or Peter, the PCC Secretary, do let me know.
Church Internet Great news – we have been awarded a grant of almost £10,000 to install Wi-Fi in the church, build a new website and get ready to film or livestream our church services. The funding is from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund and we are grateful to the government for making it possible.
