APCM Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting takes place on Sunday 11 October after the 10am service, starting at around 11.15am. Anyone on the electoral roll of the parish is entitled to attend and we hope as many of you as possible will be there.
At the meeting there will be reports on church activities and finances in 2019 and an election for two church wardens, three members of the Deanery Synod and four PCC members. If you would be interested in standing for any of these posts and have not yet told either me or Peter, the PCC Secretary, do let me know.
Harvest We will have an all-age Harvest celebration on Sunday 4 October. At the moment we don’t know exactly what will be happening but we will be thanking God for the food we eat and sharing what we have with other people. Please keep an eye on your email and our facebook page facebook.com/aldhelms for more information.
Gardening Thank you to everyone who has helped out with the gardening recently – the church gardens, especially at the sides and back of the church, are looking splendid. The gardening team meets on Wednesday mornings at 10.30am – all welcome.
Church Internet Great news – we have been awarded a grant of almost £10,000 to install Wi-Fi in the church, build a new website and get ready to film or livestream our church services. The funding is from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund and we are grateful to the government for making it possible.
